You will find the features presented above only in the Pro version of Smart Desktop Calendar. In the Smart Desktop Calendar Pro version you will also find the regular features of Smart Desktop Calendar Standard. If you are not familiar with the Standard version, here’s what it has to offer.

After you install the application, a System Tray icon will appear – click it and Smart Desktop Calendar Standard will show up. The application will display, well, a calendar. A calendar that displays the current month, with the current day highlighted.

From the application’s interface you can see other months, you can switch between day view, week view, month view and year view, you can add notes for a specific date, you can add events and recurring events, you can set up reminders, and you can set it to run a specific action or program every time an event occurs. You can also customize the way Smart Desktop Calendar Standard looks – you can play with the colors, you can change the background image.

Smart Desktop Calendar Standard automatically displays well-known holidays and events. For October, Smart Desktop Calendar Standard informed me that October 11 is Columbus Day and Halloween is on October 31.
